Rank Checker
A common question asked of SEO consultants is how does my website rank for my keywords. We generate monthly reports showing the performance of the keywords. In the early days, clients often ask if they can have a weekly one. Sometimes clients ask how our competitors rank for these keywords.
Sometimes clients see different results on their search than the “reality”. This is because the Search Engines store your previous results and, if you use one site a lot (view the site more than once on a given computer!), it will rank that site higher (never lower) than its true level. You may also see multiple entries.
To remove this problem you can:
1) delete all cookies
2) log out of gmail or any google a/c
3) clear history
4) delete temp file
You may also try going to the web history on Google search results page and clicking on “disable customizations based on search activity” and then going ahead to clear the cache.
If this still does not address the problem, use your library or daughter’s computer, this will be more accurate.
Alternatively use one of the free rank checkers, including the one we have developed.

Additional Reason for Different SERP Results
The Search Engine uses different Data Centers. Google is believed to use 12 data centers. We often notice that using a different Internet Service Provider can give a variation in results. This could be due to ISP’s using different data centers, some of which may list your website differently.
